Inspired by East Coast cottages aesthetic but with a playful twist. The massing reflects the "modern program" where the ground floor level has more 'program' spaces than the second floor as well as an entry experience that tricks one into feeling like they have arrived indoors. In actuality one passes through the main entry door to discover a traditional 'front porch' but in a more private setting, still used as a means to enter with shelter from the elements but still outdoors. This house is loved by neighbors who welcomed a more traditional aesthetic than the white box that is dominating the West Hollywood streets.
